Keren Argueta is a Tyndale Alumni, French teacher, a proud mother and wife and business owner. Her journey began with her own experience in school and her struggles in learning. Being trilingual (English, French, and Spanish) and an ESL student comes with its own challenges and she was determined to help students who face similar, if not more, obstacles in their educational journey.
Starting with the roots to learning, Keren completed her studies in Early Childhood Education, Educational Support, and Early Childhood Leadership with a focus of child development. She chose to further continue her studies and obtained her Bachelor of Education degree from Tyndale University. Following her studies, she gained experience in both the English and French school boards and currently works full time with the Peel District School Board as a French Immersion Teacher. Keren has over 10 years of experience within the education system and has learned the dos and don’ts when teaching children that motivates her to share her expertise.
In 2022, Keren noticed the immense gap in learning and the need for guided teaching post COVID. With a continuously underfunded education system and the rising number of needs, it’s become harder for teachers to give every student the dedication they require to be motivated and successful in school. This is why she founded Fluent Minds Educational Services, to provide an array of dedicated and affordable services for families and their children. Keren aims to expand her business in hiring more educators focused on providing even more services and closing the gaps in learning.
Being a single mother for many previous years, Keren understands the financial struggle and aims to provide quality services that would not require families to sacrifice their child's progress by paying high fees. As a teacher, she emphasizes the benefits of one-on-one support which is challenging for teachers to provide in large classroom environments, regardless of the teacher’s efforts. At Fluent Minds, our goal is for students to feel confident in their abilities and individual skills. We aspire to expand this practice to provide learning opportunities for families and future educators.
